The Ghana Police Service have arrested five persons in relation to the murder of the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah.


The five including a security guard were picked up for questioning and to assist the police in their investigations.

Accra regional Police Command PRO, Assistant Superintendent of police, Mrs Afia Tenge disclosed this to the media but did not disclose the identities of those arrested.

Per a report by Emelia Enin-Abbey of graphiconline, those arrested included two women and three men.

J.B Danquah was killed at his Shiashi residence on Tuesday dawn by some unknown assailants.

It is unclear whether the murder was carried out by armed robbers or hired assassins.
