– The opposition New Patriotic Party has welcomed the arrest of the suspected killer of their
Abuakwa North MP, J.B. Danquah (late)
colleague, JB Danquah Adu.

– The police have arrested a young man in his twenties, believed to be the prime suspect in the murder of the Abuakwa North MP.

– Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu was stabbed Tuesday dawn at his residence in Accra.


The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has commended the police for their swiftness in arresting the suspected ‘killer’ of Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu.

According to the party’s Director of Communications, Nana Akomea said the news is a welcoming one and the police must be applauded.

“Even though we don’t have the details, I think that we must applaud the Police for the way they conducted and handled the investigation at this point. That somebody has been arrested is a source of respite to us,” he noted.

The NPP MP for the Abuakwa North constituency was killed by unknown assailants at his residence at Shiashi in Accra.

He was 50 years old and left behind a wife and two children.
